New decking and signs of life

Hello all – as promised here is the first update from our new garden. Thankfully last weekend finally brought some halfway decent weather! It seems to have made a difference already, as if things were just waiting for that little bit of sun to reward us with some colour and life. The first of my daffs finally appeared – does my old Welsh heart good to see!

The crocus (pickwick) has also put in an appearance at last.

And the Hellebore my better half’s mum gave us flowered.

We also have surprise crocus in one of the hangers – I must have put the bulbs in last year and forgotten about them! Look nice along with the pansies I think.

I also treated myself to a trip to the local garden centre and picked up some wildflowers, clematis, rudbeckia, Bowles Mauve, bluebells, allium and a few other odds and ends. These are just a few. Well, I had been saving up!

And to cap the weekend off my Dad and me (mostly my Dad to be honest!) added some decking to the corner where the old shed was. Its a real sun trap – can’t wait to be sitting there enjoying the space.

Hopefully the weather has now turned for the better and we’ll soon all have more colour to enjoy. Well thanks everyone for reading and happy gardening to you all. Nick.
