Garden at work

As some of you will know, I nurse at a busy public city hospital. But one can always find a courtyard garden tucked away between the buildings or attached to the wards. On the ward I work on, we are lucky enough to have two gardens … one which is just for our patients, & another which we share with an adjoining Rehab ward. Below are photos of this second garden, which I often take my dinner break in.

That's lovely Dwyllis, my local hospital is less than a year old, it has a lot of hidden gardens, really nice.

I love these hidden gardens that a lot of hospitals have, when my mum was ill and we were taking breaks by walking up and down corridors we saw many little hidden gardens made up of squares but with the most beautiful plants in, magnolias & arums and lots of green, it is a very theraputic feeling to see them. Nice to sit in too!

I have spent a lot of time waiting about in hospitals. The best ones are the ones with these little gardens to sit and contemplate in. Your garden is lovely Dwyllis. No wonder you have been inspired to create your own lovely garden. The white roses are lovely in the last photo.
