Apologies for the delay in writing my blog on my recent visit to America

I Have been meaning to do my blog & put up photos of my trip to America in July, to visit sons & their families, but so much happening in my corner of the world. Firstly, our return flight was delayed by 19 hours, which meant that my husband David could not be with his brother when he sadly passed away at the age of 63 ….. The second brother he has lost in two years …. The other brother was 64. Both died of cancer. Just days later, I learnt that a much-loved brother of mine had cancer & will begin radiation treatment shortly. Two weeks ago, we made the decision to add a Golden Retriever puppy to our little family, & hopefully tomorrow if it stops raining, we will be visiting our five week old puppy for the first time. We have been excited about this visit all week …… Until two days ago when the niece of one of my sister-in-laws, made the front page of the national newspaper in NZ ….. Just twelve years old & such a lovely girl. She died of Meningococcal C …. Just two hours of a rash developing on her hands …. On her mum’s birthday. We feel just stunned by yet another tragic loss in the family. I will get the blog & photos up as soon as I feel able to do that.
