A Sunday Walk

After the morning mist the sun shone all day today so I took a walk around the garden!

We have a lot of trees around so the ground is littered with leaves and it does look untidy but there’s not much point in tackling the job of clearing them until they are all down.

Some of the leaves are so beautiful the little girl next door and I have been making “roses” from them. They look like the withered ones from Phantom of the Opera" but I have my eye on the Acers!!

Anyway here are some images of plants that are still around, surprisingly.

As you can see the Alstroemerias are still blooming. As soon as we get the first touch of frost they will be put to bed until next year. They have done well and supplied us, the family and neighbours with bunches of flowers.

This hydrangea has done well and still looks good,

!The pond area with the artificial grass looks sad. We have removed a lot of stuff and planted two new fruit trees. There’s a lot of clearing still to do but we’ve started.

I have a carpet of leaves as well Eirlys but its nice to see from a distance, too wet and soggy to tackle with the hoover and I cannot use the rake this year, so I'll admire for a while longer, lol...

Wildrose:Not sure if they look pretty! I like to hear the crunch of the leaves underfoot but we need so many for the Alstroemeria bed. Still lots left on our trees.

Lincslass: "Hoover"? Are you being serious there? I'm asking because people do Hoover their artificial grass. Haven't tried that.....yet!

Paulspatch: Too true though there is quite a lot of work to be done there. Not so keen on working in Autumn /Winter though we have had some more gravel delivered just today. This will cover the membrane we have used under the above fruit trees (2!!)

We have also added some more cyclamen to the ones you can see in the right hand corner. They add a little colour.

It all takes time and work!!
