That Reddish Colour

Several of us here have mentioned that reddish tinge in the sky and all around. At one stage our garden looked as if someone from the Technicolour studios had been around tinting all the shrubs and trees. We dashed for our cameras but, to be honest, the end result is somewhat disappointing, somewhat unclear and even contrived. It isn’t, believe me.

That's amazing! We just had a slightly surreal sky, like Armageddon!

It was very strange, but ours had gone by 10 a.m. then we had blue skies and sunshine :)

It coloured everything here at one point, I took my camera out and the photo's look as though I had used a filter that gave some of them a reddish tint, was angry with myself because I didn't get the red sun...

Lincslass: Mine looks like that but I have published it as it is. That was the Casio camera. OH has taken some but I haven't seen those yet.

You have captured the feel of it very well. It was very eerie. We had customers driving up from London that day, he said he really didn't like the journey. By early afternoon, the sky cleared here and had blue skies, just very windy. We sent our daughter home early as I didn't want her driving in the dark, just in case any trees had come down.

Jen: Guess I've watched "War of the Worlds" too often!!
Asked my OH about his photos this afternoon and he said they were too blurred to be any good.
Found my Lumix camera this morning .....next to the charging point. Senior moment?

Lol. The poor dogs get fed up with me as I wonder around trying to remember where I have put something down. They normally follow me everywhere but at times just get fed up and lay back down :-).
