Pinelodge Gardens and Pinsla Gardens, Cornwall

Hello!
I was recently in Cornwall, UK for a month to care for my mother. Whilst there, we had a couple of wonderful outings to gardens – one near St. Austell and one near Bodmin.
If you are in Cornwall, they are worth visiting.

Pinelodge Gardens are now owned by a local restaurateur and keen gardener, Chang Li. They were created and lovingly tended for many years by Shirley and Ray Clemo.
Wheelchair accessible paths (chairs are provided) and a very pleasant café make this a great destination for the elderly.

Pinsla Gardens are set on the edge of Bodmin Moor near Cardinham Woods. Though small, the gardens are crammed with interesting plants and trees, and though the paths are a little awkward for wheelchairs, we managed to get around. Tea and cakes are served on an outdoor terrace and the lemon drizzle cake is to die for… The owners have a small nursery offering plants and preserves for sale.
Of course, when in Cornwall we shouldn’t forget to mention Lanhydrock house and gardens:

And the Eden Project:

My mother’s garden was a picture too – a true oasis in the heat of August:
Hope you enjoy the virtual visits.

Had a brilliant camping holiday near Wadebridge/Bodmin, especially good at night winding the girls up about the Bodmin Beast what laughs we had, great holiday memories too, fantastic county, fantastic scenery and beaches to die for.

Hi Elke .... lovely pics ... glad you enjoyed your visit.
Your Mum's garden looks quite spacious with lots of shade ... a lovely place to sit out.
She must have loved seeing you & spending time with you ... I wish mine would get out & about like that. :O)

Hi Elke,
Just found this 3 years on, lol. We have just come back from a few days in Fowey, Cornwall, and also visited Pine Lodge Gardens . . . these days it is not so "wheelchair friendly", but you might like to see the handful of photos in my blog :))

I have been to Lanhydrock a few times when my parents lived between Wadebridge and Bodmin some years ago, I really enjoyed the visits there.
