About me
I am retired now and looked after my Mum who had Alzheimer's for 8 years. My garden was my escape and now it's my joy. I garden for the pleasure of it but also for my wildlife of which there is a lot.
Currently I am honoured to have a colony of buff tailed bumble bees nesting on a small bank near a log pile. I have managed to naturalise a large clump of red clover over the last two years so maybe that's one reason they've moved in.
A lot of what I've planted is for wildlife including crab apple, cherries and two eating apples. I also love clematis and have several varieties including two Montana Rubens , one along a20ft+ fence and one that has just been badly damaged in the winter storms that had taken itself up my hawthorn tree.
If it's dry and not freezing I'm out there.
