Born and bred in Oxford,I have lived in Essex now for 23 years.....and yet still the only paper I ever read is the Oxford Mail, when I pop `home`for a visit.
I was always one of those blokes who was never going to be old enough to enjoy gardening.....so here I am ,more than a decade on,declaring my love for it.
And all because my inquisition got the better of me one day and I asked the wife why on earth she bothered to spend half of a Sunday deadheading flowers.......surely they`d drop off by themselves in a day or two?
Once explained,I saw life in plants.I viewed them differently.......
