Frustation in the sping

I’m going through the most frustating time at the moment. You see last month I was hillwalking in Glen Shee and managed to fall off the side of the hill breaking my leg in the process. Not recommended.
So here I am watching everything in the garden starting to grow and the veg garden needing planting and unable to do anything.
Still every cloud has a silver lining, there are things growing that I didn’t know were there. Who knows there may be a gem or two.
I won’t get to the garden until mid May and then will probably need a strimmer for a lot of it.
Is this what they call " Low maintenance gardening ?"

How frustrating for you. I would be driven mad by that amount of inactivity. Hope you are soon up and running again. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I'm sure it is frustrating for you to have to let your garden go for the time being...sending you good wishes for good healing on your broken bones and strong arms and legs after your period of enforced rest so you can get out into your garden and whip it into shape in May.
I once had a toe to thigh cast on for 9 months and I know what a frustrating experience that was....don't envy you but hope it isn't a painful break. Take care, Fifer.

I was not allowed to walk for two weeks last Easter and even that was impossibly frustrating. My best solace was reading through the gardening books, gazing out of the window and using the zoom on the camera to look at the garden for me.
I hope that your leg mends well and quickly - luckily we tend to have short memories of it once it goes.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you are not in too much pain, and that it will be better soon.

Thanks guys for the good wishes for my recovery.
They say lifes all about learning, well lessons learned from the experience is " its not the falling that hurts , its the stopping"
Suns shining up here and my daffs are still in bloom.
I can just see them from the window and they are a good show this year. I replanted them a couple of years ago and its taken till now for them to recover. A long lost tribe has taken up residence in the bottom of the garden because it hasn't had a visit for so long. Was thinking of extending the garage so this year will be the ideal time as the veg garden will not be too full.
Just read a blog by someone who visited Edinburgh last month and enjoyed her self. Its the best kept secret in the UK "the quality of life in Scotland".
