That Rose ' Fighting Temeraire' is so like the wonderful
JMW Turner painting of the ship.

The iris Silver Edge is my favourite out of these but they are all great. If you have any meconopsis seed you are wondering what to do with in the autumn do let me know! Somebody gave me some last autumn and I'd just found all the instructions for germination and I couldn't find the seeds - they never did appear.

‘Fighting Temeraire’ is indeed a beauty. A well-named rose, it matches with the painting so well.
There are a few other roses not included in the above, I will get to them when they show more.
The meconopsis certainly produced plenty of seed last year, I do not know if it is viable. But I will try to save some later in the year and you are more than welcome to some Steragram. Remind me come autumn...
Thanks all for the comments.

Wow, marvellous blooms, with a choice like that how can you choose a favourite!
There are two 'wild' rose bushes growing in the Cerdagne garden; when we were there about a month ago they had huge hips on them. I am wondering if they were from last year's blooms, I would love to see the size and colour of the flowers, and to know if they are really wild. I am hoping they are both rosa rugosa too.

Everything so beautiful. I admire people who either remember or keep notes of their plant's names. I try to remember and never keep notes or the labels. After a year I forget most of them.
