Gardeners World update
14 comments
`Gardeners World is back on our Television sets tomorrow night.
Seeing as it was so popular with all Members, i was thinking we could
have an update on the show, as it seems to make a good conversation
Topic. Example: Our likes, Dislikes, what plants are the talking point of the show etc….Its just a thought, maybe you agree? I am reminding you all
that it is back on the box tomorrow night…Then go and forget to watch
it on the night…..Always having to catch up a day or 2 after LOL
Well what do you think?

Thanks for your comment Heron, you always have something interesting to say....And Thank you Hywel, yes we do need a rest from football.
Gardeners World should be Hourly...Not a measly half-hour. Our
programme always get the short end of the stick...: >(((

Well Floribunda & linclass did you watch it tonight? i did, and really
enjoyed it...Loved watching Toby chatting about the Bees, and giving the
name of plants which our bees will love, i made a note of them...You can
guess what i am going to buy next. i was going to buy a Daphne anyway!!Also found the Woodland Garden interesting, the colours were
breathtaking!! Alys gave us some good advice on Hellebores, which i
found interesting. Carol gave us a bit of a lecture on knowing your plants.
All and all, not too bad at all....Did anyone else enjoy tonight`s show?

Well I have to say I did, especially Carol - I always enjoy her contributions. I missed some in the middle so I'll watch it again tomorrow on the iplayer.

Yes and have to say I did enjoy it even though Toby put me off a bit when he said the price of that shrub, I haven`t got Aunt Beeb to pay for me so I`m giving that a miss. I always enjoy Carol`s stints plus the fact that she gets down and dirty,my kind of gardener, sorry still cannot take to Alys although her chat about the Hellebores was good,......

Well, I managed to watch it all the way through without getting bored this time.
Thoroughly enjoyed the bees; hooted with derision at the price of the Daphne; enjoyed Carol Klein - as always; drifted off slightly when Alys was going on about HelleBORES; but still found myself wishing for a different presenter - one who's voice and tone does NOT bring Blue Peter to mind! ;o)

I do feel a teeny bit sorry for Alys i seem to think it could be her age that
may be at fault, with a lot of people. I think you expect to have a
Presenter with good experience of Gardening, Alys is young and as a lot
to learn about being a Presenter. The BBC want to attract more young
persons to the Show like Alys, for their enjoyment....
Toby seems to be improving now, getting down to brass tacks or should i
say getting stuck into it!!! When he keeps staring into the Camera, he
must do that without realising it...Habitual.
Carol is a great favourite loved by almost everyone. I do think this show
is improving a great deal...

I think that the main reason why we watch it is that compared with TV generally, it has a calming effect on us. I don't watch Eastenders but you know what I mean. God forbid, can you imagine Tony B using a four letter word. For those of us already stricken by the garden bug it's interesting to watch other people in their gardens and nice to pick up useful tips. ie. how and when to prune roses or what sort of footwear and what colour scarf to wear.[;))))
