Have you ever thought to say something, you open you mouth and suddenly you can’t remember what it was you wanted to say?

Well I’m sitting here looking at this screen and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was I was going to type. So I’m typing this in the hope I will remember but alas…..I’m away to my bed.

Oh such a familiar experience!!!

11 Sep, 2009

Yes, all the time !!
It just proves that none of us know what we're talking about on here. lol Hope you soon remember what it was :o))

11 Sep, 2009

It's what they call a senior moment :o))) I get them often.

11 Sep, 2009

yeah. all the time!
don't know about senior, with me it's just chronic dippiness and has been happening frequently all my life.
I've learned to adapt by grinning sheepishly.

Hee Hee - I wont mention anything about age!! I ate my cereal this morning and then went upstairs and when I got to the top realised I had carried my bowl upstairs!! glad the boys wernt up to see me!!!

11 Sep, 2009

Why do you think I am called alzheimer....LOL
I once - and I did not have age as an excuse when it happened....put my hot-water-bottle on the doorstep and the empty milk bottle in my bed.....now that DOES date me as most of you folk probably don't remember that milk was once delivered!!!!

I still don't know what it was, but whatever it was it was well worth forgetting, this is great reading!!!

11 Sep, 2009

I often get up, go into another room, and then cant remember why I went in there!

11 Sep, 2009

Happens every day to me GF...sometimes I think it's vodka induced ...but I never forget where the bottle lives so can't be that eh?!

11 Sep, 2009

Dont it make you feel better when you discover your not on your own............

11 Sep, 2009

Every time I go upstairs and think what DID I come up here for.....I then console myself that it was at least good exercise getting there!

11 Sep, 2009

Nope...'Still gone'

12 Sep, 2009

Been there!

12 Sep, 2009

well we still have live milk bottles AND hot water bottles in our house, so that must be a risk I run quite often, lol.

Hi there W....glad somebody can relate to such things and I too enjoy a nice cosy HWB....I can't stand these horrid electric blankets. Mind you a nice lavender wheat bag hotted up in the micro. runs a very close second!!!!

13 Sep, 2009

I use both,Alz! Wheat & lavender bag for the spine, &a hottie (or if I cant get one, a hot water bottle) for my cold feet!

13 Sep, 2009

My feet are always cold too Marie and my HWB hasn't been retired for the summer yet! Do you mean hottie as in Brand name? I use them for my dodgy back and needed a new one so I googled for a replacement under 'hotties' and it came up will all sorts of dodgy options!! lol

14 Sep, 2009

No...............I wasnt talking brand names!

14 Sep, 2009

OMG...what is a hottie that you landed up on dodgy sites..oh no ...on second thoughts - don't answer that - I've just cottoned on::~()
SO what is a hottie that isn't a HWB or a wheat bag then...I must be missing something here!!!!

14 Sep, 2009

Just someone "hot"!!

14 Sep, 2009

Do you mean the dodgy hotties on google - best you have a look for yourself as I might get struck off for explaining!!
The 'Hottie' is a HWB alternative - flat, rectangular and filled with some sort of damp wadding that you heat in the microwave for 2 mins. Doesn't leak and keeps hot longer than gel or wheat. Great! :o))

14 Sep, 2009

EEEK..never come across one of those as I am addicted to my wheat-bags....use a couple ....older version for the tootsies and a nice new smelly lavender one for the neck. Not so sure I need a longer-lasting one....once thawed out of a night - I am hunting for the cool places....awkward sod that I am !! Maybe in winter of course....must have a hunt around though...always looking for nice pressies for X###...daren't use that 4 lettered word I believe!!!!
PS Didn't need to Google by the way - I may be an OAP - but as an ex nurse I've seen most things....esp. in A&E on a Sat night..lol

14 Sep, 2009

They're probably not much good for your neck as they're not very pliable but great for backs and feet.
LOL..bet you've sen it ALL there Alzheimer!

14 Sep, 2009

Yes - a lot of it unprintable!!!!!!!!
And - a LONG time ago....I "retired" (HA!)- to get married in 1975

14 Sep, 2009

Hmm! I meany like, say, Gerard Butler, Christian Bale, THAT kind of hottie!

14 Sep, 2009

They'd probably be good at keeping you warm at night too Marie! :o))

15 Sep, 2009

Hee hee! Of course! What else would they be for? The mantlepiece isnt big enough to sit them on

15 Sep, 2009

Both of them is a bit greedy Marie lol

15 Sep, 2009

Ok, I'll settle for the hunky fellow scot, Gerry Butler! Christian Bale's a bit young anyway!
