Japanese Maples

I am in love with Japanese Maples and their beautiful colouring in the garden, especially during Autumn when their leaves change and they are a riot of different hues. So far I have planted 7 varieites in the past year. The one in this photo to the right is called "Bloodgood".

Thanks for the comments guys. Er, it takes a bit of time to keep the weeds at bay, but on the whole I am not a slave to it Skippy, LOL. The most I work is in Autumn when I have to cut back the perennials and give it a good tidy before Winter. Other than that it's the mowing and weeding that takes up most of the time. I do it all, good way to keep fit. :-)

Yes, it's Spring till end of November and then our Summer starts. I have to take some cuttings as this is the best time (+ Autumn) to propogate plants. Instead of using hormone rooting powder someone suggested I use some honey. So I'll be giving that a go and see how it works.
