~thought it was a bit early for a mass display but there were a couple of bluebells dotted about at Kew~the ones in my local wood are only about 4 inches tall and still only green leaves~

They must get extra light where they are..I have come ot the conclusion with the colder winter and spring that the reason things bloom is not because of the warmth of an area but because of the length of light....on the ground...makes sense to me...anyway..lol

It's like many of the spring flowers that bloom in the woods, they flower while there is enough light for them, before the trees come into leaf and shade the ground.

I reconise these Arlene, they are Chionadoxa along the cherry walk.Did you see them in the woodland garden? they look fantastic along with the Fritillarias. We have the bluebells to come.Can't wait!
