This is Spring 2006 our first Spring in the house and of course to see what was going to happen in the garden.

We discovered a lovely peony which I thought was an odd shaped and out of season mushroom when it first poked through! My mum soon put me straight and recognised it. I have to dig out some dock that has grow in the middle of it but I'm going to leave that til it's finished flowering next year I think.

What a pain! Could you paint a little weedkiller on the dock? It might be easier than digging it out and damaging the Peony.
