This clem was planted last autumn to grow up the new arches. It got off to a terrible start, being constantly noshed by slugs, over and over again. Finally it got some growth on, and at last...a lovely blue flower!

Yes, I lost all the growth on that one just after the first flowering. Really frustrating isn't it? Oh well, nothing you can do about it really.

I love a survival story! I had beetles on my survivors...but they attacked just as the plant came into bloom. Even with rain and better weather all my clems are sulking. They need better placement I think...have put this and little nell on my wish list.

It's quite similar to 'Romantika' which is the other new blue one that I planted on the arches. The blue is very eye catching on both of them!

Ah, I've had some from them. I'm getting my new ones from Thorncroft's as they stock all of the ones I wanted. :-)

Yup, they are just as good.

I actually prefer Taylors because they are a Northern company. I often find that plants grown in the 'deep south' don't like coming this far north! :D

Interesting. I had to choose Thorncroft's because they list all the Clems I had in mind...but the plants are still great! :-))) Excellent service, too. I had an e-mail with the time they'd arrive, and they did! Spot on.

That's a lovely colour, K. It 'is' a bit like 'Semu', isn't it!
I'm pleased you've got flowers on it at last. Mrs Cholmondely also seems to be a snail magnet, but she had four flowers this year! :-)))
