Only just had a look at some of your photos Bernieh, see you have lots of gorgeous daylilies and some amazing pictures of wildlife and plants quite envious, love this one I only have a few spider ones at moment and most are new and haven't flowered this year, still something to look forward to next.

They're a fascinating bloom - the spider ones. Hope yours come through for you next year.

It is lovely Berniah haven't seen that one before, I bought several this year, Watchyl Dancing Spider, Enduring Love, Jellyfish Jealousy, Freewheelin, Parade of Peacocks(that is developing flower scape now whether it'll flower before bad weather gets it don't know), Lines of Splendor,Highland Giant,Yabba Dabba Do, Wilson Spider, god did I really buy that many, just got to stop looking on ebay running out of space.

You have been having fun - love Parade of Peacocks. You must have a lot of space in your garden ... I'm going to have to pot mine up if I get anymore. I know I will buy more though ... so I'm going to have buy pots as well!

Dug a new bed especially for my daylilies last spring, just about full though, still there's room to make it bigger, so hard to resist aren't they?

Very hard Simbad - I've just found a nursery that only breeds daylilies and they have such beauties that it's going to be hard to resist getting more.

Lucky you Berniah don't have any nurseries near us that sell them, well most have a few but only more common ones, so get most off mine on e-bay or mail order, have just sent for some seed from america, some lovely crosses, in the fridge at moment hope they germinate, just acquired half an allotment next to one we already have only got it really because it has apple tree's gooseberries black and redcurrant bushes only £10 a year, and that includes water, so worth it just for fruit, space will be handy to grow on seedlings and see what I get, can't wait.
Have you got The New Encyclopedia of Daylilies by Petit and Peat? some amazing ones in there, even a section on daylilies of the future, ones that are being trialled at the moment, I want them all, lol.

Will look forward to seeing the photos when your seeds take off. No I haven't got the Petit and Peat book - sounds like I might like it though. I think you've definitely got more daylilies than I have (seeing as you have a whole garden bed full) ... but I have become a big fan just recently and this new nursery has some simply gorgeous ones which are too hard to resist!

Think you would Bernieh lovely book, keep checking the seeds no sign of life yet but told they can take 6-8 weeks. Thats it then once you've got the bug there'll be no stopping you.

Thanks Andrew - they're a different sort of daylily ... not the most popular form but I rather like this one.
