I lost my big one over the winter i knocked into it and snaped the stem.It didn't recover from that.:o(((

Lol - don't I just know it!!! I've had a couple in the past, but I just can't get them through winter, no matter how much I try. There are sometimes bargain ones to be had around here - keeping me one eye out for these! :-))

That's a real shame you lost the large one in this way. :-(((

Ensete hybrids tend to be more tender than true bananas (Musa). Ensete lacks a rhizome which makes some true varieties of banana very hardy.
