Unusual pic. I saw one of these in Kew Gardens earlier this year - is was in the hot house though!!

It's a very common sight to see Ficus species with lots of aerial roots in the tropics. Here only certain species of Ficus will produce lots aerial roots.

It seems to be a function of humidity--Ficus almost never produce aerial roots here in the desert.
