Thank you everyone, It looks alot better when it has more moss on it. Another job to add to my list! - it's getting longer.

And time is marching fast Poppy...my list doesn't seem to be getting any shorter either...:)))

It may have to be a winter job Sue

Ha ha, I just remembered the postman says he always remembers my house because of the 'funny chair' in the front garden!

smashing Poppy , do you wrap the moss round with a florist wire and then keep it watered ?

28 Sep, 2011

Hi Amy, yes a reel of florist wire will be all I need to remoss it. When I first did it I also used chicken wire. Chicken wire is great for making all sorts of things. I had a little mossed mole with spectacles, until it finally disintegrated!

That's a lovely idea, Poppy, I wonder would any wee alpines survive with the moss? Maybe it would be too dry. Interesting idea though! I would have loved to have seen the wee mole! It sounds adorable!! :0)

Well it's funny you should mention that Libet. I thought I might put a few sempervivums in the seat area. They dont need alot of compost. I could make another little mole with a bowtie and spectacles to sit on it !!

Oh do, Poppy! The thought of him just tickles me! And it was sempervivums I was thinking about too...ooohh! Spooky! Lol!

Libet and Amy... sorry to keep you waiting! This job is on the back burner at the moment, something I can do in the garage if the weather is bad. I'm making compost bins at the moment...not quite so glamourous heh?
