8 May, 2009

Yes....I looked at the site for them....they have smashing garden stuff on there. Wonder how the mirror glass will be in the Winter?

8 May, 2009

What Site Janey ? Id like to see them 2 :) lol

8 May, 2009

Oh I love this, so clever.

8 May, 2009

Hello Louis! This is wonderful!

8 May, 2009

The reflection you see in the mirrow, is the top of the fountain.

8 May, 2009

I'm trying to remember whose it was Jacque.....probably will take me till tomorrow....Lol

8 May, 2009

I think you are referring to Grenville...He and Alan have a lovely huge mirror in their garden...to great success! A mirror expands a garden ....suddenly there's a new room...just through there...lol.
BTW...Louis...how is the nettle arm doing?

8 May, 2009

Hi Lori, it's much better thank you. In a day or two, it will be "normal". Thank you once again. You're most kind :-)

8 May, 2009

Ok you got me hooked on this idea, thanks a lot Louis,

9 May, 2009

louis this is really lovely and such a good idea with a window type frame around with a mirror. It certainly adds another dimension to your garden.

14 May, 2009

Thank you Lindak....I am always trying something new and different around the garden, it makes it more intersting I think.

14 May, 2009

It creates an illusion of light and space.

16 May, 2009

Ah....have just found the pic of the similar one...it's on Lountad's photos, and the company's website is lucasgarden.com........:o)

16 May, 2009

ok thanks Janey, will take a peek .... :-)

16 May, 2009

That is amazing!

12 Aug, 2009

Thank you Madperth :-)

13 Aug, 2009

How's it going, Louis? this is a terrific idea...check out Terry60's pics...she has a pic of a wall in Rome with the vatican/St.Peter's framed in the window!!!

19 Aug, 2009

will do, thanks Lori :-)

21 Aug, 2009

I just love seeing architectural features in gardens, & this one is just superb!

21 Aug, 2009

Thank you Madperth..:-)

23 Aug, 2009

YW! Where you been??
That was supposed to say How've you been, & how did your open day go??????
I'm losing it!! :~}}}

23 Aug, 2009

Hi Madperth, I'm fine thank you, and how about you....... been quite busy last week. As for the open garden weekend, we did very well indeed, the best year so far, I'm pleased to say. Loads of people turned up , and they were not all local people, so we were most pleased. So all the money collected, will go to Cransley Hospice, which is our local hospice. We were very lucky with the weather, hence the turn out of people.......Hope you had a nice weekend......... :-)

24 Aug, 2009

I'm fine, thanks, Louis, back to work today after a long absence, & a bit nervous, but looking forward to it too!
The weekend was........busy in the garden Sat, & busy painting walls yesterday, as it rained all day! It's sunny now, but I gotta get ready for work!! :~}
Glad it all went so well for you!! :~)))))))))

It is exactly that kind of window I have always dreamt about being a part of my hedge. Must show it to my husband when he gets home. Maybe he knows how to make it (just hoping :-) )?!

5 Sep, 2009

Good Luck with getting your dream come true, Lindenborg, & Welcome to GoY!!

5 Sep, 2009

Thanks :-)

6 Sep, 2009

Thanks Lindenborg. It breaks up the hedge and open a new space within :-)
Welcome to GOY as well............

I have bought 2 of these mirrors just recently. Looking forward to getting them out in the spring! They do look great don't they!

13 Nov, 2009

Well done Skillen....Yes, they do give a different perspective to any wall, and if you can grow a climber around it, it looks much better, as it seems it has been there for years :))) Please post a picture, when you get them hang :))

13 Nov, 2009

Will do Louis. I'm putting them on the back of the garage wall which already has a climber on it. Hopefully it will reflect the woods and a tree fern that I have up there. Cant wait! I love the reflection in yours.

13 Nov, 2009

Hi Skillen. Yes, I do agree with you, apart from the reflection, it seems as if you're looking into the wall and onto the other side....... There are one of my best features in my garden. When I opened my garden to the public in August, I got loads of nice remarks about the mirrors :-)

13 Nov, 2009

I bet you did! I see they also do really large ones like open gates to put on a wall or the middle of a hedge. They are very effective as it looks like an opening through to a whole new garden.

14 Nov, 2009

I know....and I am so tempted to get one of those big mirror gates you mentioned Skillen. I have a wall in which to put it...........now you got me wondering,,LOL. Have a pleasant weekend :))

14 Nov, 2009

If I had a wall or hedge I would get one. Have a good weekend yourself Louis.

14 Nov, 2009

So would I, but I've barely got a fence!!

14 Nov, 2009

Lol Marie, same here!

14 Nov, 2009

Wow, i love this :-))))))
I fancy copying your idea Louis !
I'll look out for one of those :-)

14 Nov, 2009

I Could put a mirror on the shed, I suppose, but the reflection wouldn't be that great!

14 Nov, 2009

I got mine on ebay for £35 Louise. p&p quite expensive though.

14 Nov, 2009

Sorry to say that it did not cost me anything for the two I have, as one of my daughters bought them for me as a xmas prsssie last xmas :))

14 Nov, 2009

Why be sorry? What a great gift!!

14 Nov, 2009

You will have to post a picture of your mirror, when you get it fixed :)))

14 Nov, 2009

Will do Louis - where have you put the other one?

14 Nov, 2009

The other one is on the other side of the all. Looking forward to see your picture of the mirror Skillen.............:)))

14 Nov, 2009

The window idea is brilliant. Your garden is superb it all looks so hot and sunny (never would guess it's in Northants!!!)

18 Nov, 2009

Thank you once again. I had a similar comment in one of our local papers lol. One of my neighbours opens the garden at the same time, and his garden is tropical, so the heading on the papers was something like.... The tropical and mediterrannean sunshine comes to Rushden LOL

18 Nov, 2009

Your further south than me! I'm in sunny Wellingborough, near the Priory (-:

18 Nov, 2009

Oh I know where you are, been to the Priory a few times :-) I went to see a client on one of the new houses by the back of McDonalds...... Can't wait for tomorrow and see what I find in the garden centres lol !!!

18 Nov, 2009

Have fun (((-:

18 Nov, 2009
