Apples and nashi (Japanese pears, the round yellow or green-ish ones) are also from our garden.

I love figs Tommymoo. We have two fig trees on the property...I get a rash from the leaves but no problem eating the fruit.

Princess Y, I was going to delete this photo this morning, but I won't, especially for you, ma'am :-) Thank you for adding this to your favs!
Cinder, Elsie, Janey: thank you all for your kind comments!
Ohhh Alexandra, you get a rash from the leaves? Stingy nettles give me the horrific sensation (that's the most terrible thing I've ever experienced!) but not from the fig leaves.. You've got sensitive skin!

Thank you Lulu! You love nashi pears! So do I, crunchy and juicy!

They would make quite a tasty wine!! Maybe with a few pears in the mix as well!

I know Calvados made from pears but pear wine? That's new to me. I'd rather eat them!
24 Feb, 2011
Or eat them with sweet wine!
