Jacque, I have an important purpose for my banana peppers each year so they're kept off limits. :-) I didnt get many this year, but I always stuff them with lightly lemoned cream cheese and then fritter fry them. They stow in the freezer for wonderful appetizers through the winter. And broil back up to freshness so quickly.

I have to keep them on the porch to get enough heat for them, or greenhouse. I pollinate them myself but I've plenty of bees to do that for me, with flowers around. And with my short season I have to start them early indoors, about 2-3 months before going out. I buy in 3" at the greenhouse in march. Usually starting to bloom and I remove the leaves and bury on a bucket up to the last six leaves.
