I know that this mint can be invasive, but I try to keep it under control to allow some to stay - because of its lovely foliage, and later pretty mauve flowers.

Is this the one we call ginger mint, have been growing it for over 20 years now.

I have this plant too Spritzhenry, I agree it is an invasive herb plant, Im quite lucky mine is growing in a narrow border just infront of my pond, I love the smell as people or my dog walks past it, This ginger mint is one of my favourites, Ive just added some chocolate mint,, and also some apple mint to it,, great photo ,,

Thanks - at least it is controllable, so I let some of it stay...
I'm not sure it would be OK in a basket, though, Hb, in spite of the pretty leaves...
