Cut it down??? ... Nooo ...leave the spent flowerheads on as frost protection for the new buds ... too late I guess ... :o(

I didn't used to like hydrangeas very much , but when we moved to this house and had created a lot of different borders , I bought one , then another ,and another... now I have 8 and I love them. They just grew on me, so to speak. One has just started to flower again. That is strange. Yours are lovely too, Shirley.

Rose, I always though of Hydrangeas as 'old folks' shrubs ... seems I'm heading that way now ... lol! Are yours different shades of pink/red/blue? .....
Thankyou Amy ... just so many strange happenings in the garden for the time of year! . . . . .

Love Hydrangea Shirley, and would love to get hold of an Oak Leaf Hydrangea too lovely...such a nice Variety...

I also like to see the spent blooms on the shrub, and it does protect the new growth too...:)))

I just Googled Oak Leaved Hydrangea ... there is one for sale on e-Bay for £9.99 ... not sure if that would be helpful to you though! ... :o)
