The climate and soil here must suit them well. They grow well here.

OH I love the yellow ones...All the ones here revert back to the purple and pink ones. I am starting some yellow ones from seed this year.
How do the vehicles look in the UK?

~ much smaller Newfie! we do have 4 by 4's etc but they re becoming very anti social especially in inner city areas where they are getting as low as 7 mpg~ there are a lot of small town cars like the Smart and others powered by electricity that are now becoming very popular as the cost of petrol has fallen slightly but is still much higher than you pay in Canada or the US .
Sales of larger, petrol heavy cars have fallen dramatically and this is affecting manufacturers like Ford etc who don't seem to have cottoned on to this new direction.I do think Obama will follow this route too.
Good luck with the yellow ones!

Our gas prices have been up and down lately. You're right, the trend will be towards smaller more efficient vehicles in the future. But I do love my big SUV!! (But not the gas bill that comes with it). :P

These are lovely.
Whenever I've tried to grow lupins, they get eaten by slugs or bugs!
