'Yellow' lupin (for Jacque)

This is my yellow lupin but it looks white to me. Not sure if this one was from Pound Shop or B&Q. The label definitely says 'yellow'. I have another lupin in the garden that looks OK but no bud yet. The third has almost disappeared (?slugs) and the 4th I think has been sat on by an 8lb tortoise (Josie). Oh dear, the trials of gardening :)

You're not having much luck with your Lupins are you Gee , Does Josie really weigh 8 lbs ! she,s a heavy little beasty .... Never mind, the one you have is a lovely white ( even if it should be yellow ) :o)

Sounds like this lupin did well to survive at all in your garden Gee !
....... all those hazards are enough to make it go white and pale. Lol.

It's a lovely Lupin Gee even if the colour is not quite what you expected.

Thank you all for your encouragement. Yes, Amy, Josie really does weight 8lb and all the tortoises tend to walk over plants (and everything else) rather than go the long way round! The photo makes the white lupin look bigger than it is, but hopefully it will grow and grow :)

Beautiful white lupin. I have the same trouble - with slugs, not tortoises. Tried coffee grounds this year - useless, mu slugs seem to love coffee. Back to pellets under tiles.
