This is my young Sausage tree which I germinated from a seed last year. It's really starting to get big now. Photo taken June 18, 2011.

Most likely I'll sell it before it matures (I have no room in the ground for this large tree). Unfortunately, it won't flower and develop the large sausage-like fruits until planted in the ground.

Yes, it is a shame! However, I do know of a little tree in Balboa Park which has been kept relatively small over the last 3 years. I've posted pics in the past.
