Crikey! That Photinia has so many flowers, I'm surprised it can stand upright.

Oh, I've just noticed your comments under the photo. Did it die then? I don't think I've known of one dying before. I thought these kind ofPhotinias(Fraserii) were indestructible!!

What a lovely out look on your front garden beautiful shrubs and love the tree and the one overflowing like you part with the statue too.

Thank you for your comments, we love looking out on it although it looks quite a bit different now Morgana. Sadly the Photinia tree is dead but I have just planted a dark leaved Prunus in it's place. All the bushes along the front have joined up, 'The lady' is not so exposed and has lots of plants up to her knees and the overflowing Tamarisk has just about recovered from my husband's overenthusiastic pruning! It should look like this again next year if he leaves it alone.

I believe in travel broadens the mind and I do it with reading and listening thats my form of travel. One woman borrowed money from the bank set up in the country side bought a large house to put nappies and feed with bottles etc to men , most of her customers are business men, mps etc she charges 500.00 an hour for this I learned this on the news some years ago I laughed and phoned my daughter in law up and said save the bottles , nappies , I ll have them for a joke she said why I said I am going to start a business and told her she laughed I said I will call it the white nappy brigade .

Yes, I read about that too Morgana, in a womens mag I think. Don't think I fancy putting a nappy on a man, or even worse, taking one off. It did sound like easy money though and pretty harmless too! It's amazing what people get up to isn't it, takes all sorts as they say.

I am very impressed with your pictures of your garden in particular the border shots.
I am very new to gardening and find your pictures very inspiring.

Hello Duddyboy, thank you for your kind comments. I've been looking at your pics and I must say your garden looks great, especially as you call yourself a beginner. I like lots of summer colour too so the front garden is mostly evergreen shrubs and some pretty perennials while the back is fewer shrubs with lots of annuals.
