These Date Palms were blowing in the wind in today's very short lasting storm. Many of these trees are loaded with date fruit.

During the storm, does the fruit fall down on everyone ?

If the fruit does fall on anyone or on the ground, does it splatter or is it hard hitting?

I didn't dare ask that. Lol. :o)

Panther:
The storm lasted about 2 1/2 hrs. It was suppose to last 2 days or more...the meteorologist here are always wrong. No kidding.
I didn't see any fruit fall down they are not completely ripe yet.
The fruit is soft but not mushy...they don't splatter...well if stepped on.

Meteorologists here are the same, their predictions about any storm are almost always inaccurate. Sometimes we are left unaware of heavy rainfalls that causes severe flooding. Only after the damage is done that they realize this, quiet wierd I think!!
Thanks about the info on the fruit, mushy was the word I was looking for:-)

In the near future I will take more photos of Date Palms and their fruit. A day when it's not stormy...which is 99% of the time. : > )

Nice picture, but not nice weather I must say. How long lasting this short lasting storm was Delonix?
