Adansonia digitata - Baobab Tree, Dead Rat Tree

My 5 1/2 foot Baobab tree which is 8 years old. This photo was taken August 2008. This year the tree looks a little less lush...which is typical. I purchased this tree as a 4 inch plant sometime in 2001.
Forgive the mess in the background.

Well, the mess is the wild Burmuda grass, water containers, hose and unpainted laundry room door. It looks terrible!
