They usually bloom young...however, not within a year...as far as I know or read. Mine bloomed in the second year.

I think my plant was a year and half, when it first bloomed. I purchased this plant very small for around $1.00. I'm looking for another 'Ice Pink' and white variety or a purple one...since my two others died this year. :>(

Thanks! This is just the beginning of the bloom cycle. In summer it'll be loaded with many flowers.

Yes, it has many branches. It blew over a couple of years ago and lost a big branch...then developed about a dozen more branches.

I have four different colors (at the moment)....let's see what colors I get when they bloom!

That's the million dollar question. Sometimes you never know what you're going end up with hybrids. Although, sometimes you can end with some real beauties.
I just read some Adenium obesum can bloom within less than a year. So, maybe yours might bloom this summer...you never know. :>)

Had a look....I often visit that forum. I saw some beautiful pictures of Adenium seedlings and plants there before I started my seeds.....
I am keeping them in the house for a while longer as they are very young.
My Plumerias are loving it outside in the sun and the heat!

Actually, Adenium species tolerate a lot more extreme heat and sun that Plumeria. Adenium is a desert plant.

Yes, I know but they are still soooo small. I'm afraid the wind will tip them over. They are on a very sunny windowsill which will be open most of the day soon.

Yes, they can be toppled. My plant blew over a couple of years ago and lot some branches. :>( It has since developed many more new branches, though.

Oh but mine has only one main stem.....I really must take a pic of them. I love that they are so small and they have a lovely full stem....;o)))

The seedlings will put a lot of energy into developing their caudex. The caudex stores water in times of severe drought.
