King Palms - Archontophoenix cunninghamiana and large Ficus trees

This section of the San Diego Zoo has many wild King Palms and giant Ficus trees species (looks like mostly Ficus benjamina - Weeping fig)

There's some nice F. benghalensis growing at the SD Zoo. I just saw the F. benghalensis at Fullerton Arboretum. It looks very good (I'll post a photo). The largest known F. benghalensis in Ca. is in a park in the San Dimas area. It was about 60' tall 25 years ago. I'm guessing it's much larger now.
I just sold my 8 year old F benghalensis about two months ago. It was getting much too large for the pot. It now has a good home in northern San Diego County on 2.5 acres.

I bet Andy,that the Zoo also thought F. bengalensis for decades "Doesn't grow" in California. Or,banyon. Fullerton has one like a melting candle. Others,..one here and one there. But NOW,they seem to take off in soucal.
