Archontophoenix alexandrae - Alexander Palm

This is the tallest of my Alexander palms, which was grown from a seed back in 2003. It's finally starting to grow quickly, which is very typically for this tropical palm. Photo taken April 25, 2012.

This palm is called King Palm in Australia.

Hahaha! What's even funnier is, his full name is Anton Alexander.
My elder Daughter is Alexandra, but we call her 'Alex'. and my Grandaughters Boyfriend is Alexander, and he's known as 'Ali'.
Looks like we're keeping the name in the famiyl. lol. :o)
