What a beauty - a plant that knows how to blow its own trumpet.
Alright alright I'll get me coat!

It's a smaller flower than most Brugs (about 20cm) and not uber fragrant either, but it really stands out in my eyes as the one to have.

Rosegit - we leave the puns to Stickitoffee!!! She may have competition now though judging by that!

I have been sent a Tricyrtis plant from SA ...It arrived very wilted and I nipped the tops off. It looks healthy now but have I pinched the flower out? no matter if I can split it. It's a blue one...no name

Maybe for this year, but as long as it gets winter protection it'll do it's stuff next year.

Yours has beaten me to it, still waiting for ours to flower, will be well chuffed if it looks as good as this one....
18 Jul, 2012
B.sanguinea is a cooler flowering species apparently, usually autumn.
18 Jul, 2012
Right, what do you do with yours in the winter?
18 Jul, 2012
It'll go into the shed where it can be frost free.
