Camassia White double or is it Semi-Double just starting to flower, although the blue has finished. Does not increase as rapidly as the blue, at least for me.

Although the top buds have not opened yet, you can see already that the lower flowers have finished.

Yes when I had two Foxtail lillies they do the same.

Shame that they don't put on a total display. I saw Foxtails in growth recently when visiting Hyde Hall, knew the roots were wide spreading, but decided the foliage was too big and course for my garden.

Thats a shame when I had my yellow ones there was nt much foliage to them.

Looking good Siris
1st time growing them with me I have leichtlinii semi-plena flower stems are till growing so no flowers yet and the other is Maybelle which has been in flower only in the past week .... From reading up on them they will enjoy this wet weather.

Just looked at photos of Maybelle, looks a good dark blue. I think my white is actually Semi plena, given to me by my friend along the road. She got from one of the big bulb suppliers, but doesn't keep names, ( shouldn't say this....or the plants)

The leichtlinii semi-plena is meant to be sterile so flowers for longer . I got mine from Avon bulbs you pay for what you get huge bulbs always wonderfully packed as well ... Maybelle is a deep blue but half the size of leichtlinii semi-plena in flower stem height maybe bigger next year once they settle in ..

I think semi plena is what this is, I commented to you Gg, last year that it produced no seed pods.

Sorry Sue I missed this what with all that's going on here , its very pretty and nice that it should bloom after the blues have finished ...

Still flowers to come at the top of the plants, although those at the bottom have finished. Doesn't seem to set seed, unlike the blue.
