This campanula is annual. I grow it from seeds.
I love its natural looking.

C.patula is annual in my climate.　It might be otherwise　in other climates.

Hi there, Breeze is right TT, there are many types, over 300 varieties in the Campanula genus. some are frost sensertive annuals grown as bedding or short lived house plants, hardy annuals that will self seed, bianuals and there are others which are hardy perennial plants, some evergreen some are not, there really is no hard and fast. there are 5 pages full of them in RHS guide. i could stab a gues at variety, but it is a gues, i think it could be C.isophylla AKA falling stars or Star of Bethlehem. this is not fully hardy and often grown in summer baskets. - but don't hold me to variety. lol hope this helps - it's lovely by the way.

In my plants book it showed only a few perennial Campanulas and that confused me a bit ! I guess if your climate has frosts, certain plants can be annuals, which, in warmer climates might keep going year after year.

And yes, it is a wonderful looking plant :o)

well looks as if you do just fine Breeze, this is lovely, if you have very warm conditions, there are some varieties that are sold in this country as house plants, that would benefit from the warmer climate, have a look out for thoughs. but you certainly seem to have the knack for them.
