My two-for-one bargain Dahlias are still going strong!

Beautiful colour and petals - did you grow these from tubers or are they the little shrubby ones. I will be posting some pics of mine shortly - they are doing so well. Definitely in my top ten of flowers. Very good photo too!

Thanks - they were the bedding type, but I don't know if they ever produce tubers?? I'm not much good on Dahlias.

yes they do spritz. I have some from last year. the tuber is small but gets bigger every year.

So should I leave them in the ground, or dig them up and pot up for the winter??

as they are only one year old i would certainly lift them unless you can guarentee they are going to be frost free this year. hows the crystal ball then? :o)

Thanks for the advice Seaburngirl. One more question though - when you lift then - how do you store them? I have been told to put them in paper bags and put them in the fridge - but isn't it easier to leave them in a cold frame in a pot with some soil? I am only just emptying the fridge of bulbs - so I don't think I would be popular if I filled in with tubers!

Pretty pink.

Would it be OK to pot them up in dry compost and keep them frost-free??

Spritzs this is Goorgeousssssssssss is it from Tuber or Seed ? :)

Don't know, Jacque, but I expect they are from seed, don't you think? The GC grows most of their own plants - that's one of the reasons I like going there. It's in Devon - a longish trip, but worth it.

Yes, I do too - I must take Sbg's advice and try to over-winter them - two plants!
