Is it just me, or does it remind you a water lily ?

I thought that, too, Isn't it a beauty! :-))))

I love waterlily dahlias....:>)

I do in the position it's in. Last year I bought a cactus one for the hot border...it looked amazing. Needless to say, it didn't survive the winter. ;-(((

It does look like a waterlily,beautiful :-)

2 Aug, 2010

Thanks - I really hope I can over-winter it. I think it'll have to come out and get dried off and stored.

2 Aug, 2010

To pretty to risk! I don't have any dahlias left, winters killed them one by one :-(

2 Aug, 2010

I really, really can't dig them all up and over-winter them all...and the begonias, and the Zantedeschias, etc etc. I shall leave the others and buy new ones. They're cheap enough when you get tubers. If they survive, great. If not, 'shrugs'...

2 Aug, 2010

Yeah,it's to much.If I'll get dahlias again it will be the cheaper stuff I can treat as annuals and be happy if they survive a winter.

2 Aug, 2010

Exactly. At £1.99 per tuber, it's not much, is it?

2 Aug, 2010

No :-)

This is really a suitable name for this flower.

3 Aug, 2010

It is, isn't it! :-)))

love it ,and pink

I have to watch out - I love pink and purple flowers. That's another good reason for making the 'hot' border - it's different from the rest of the garden!
