Yes TT. Our Garden Club restored the water feature planting a few years ago. Then it was decided to rebuild all the stonework so all the plants had to be removed and stored. This one was so well established, it had to stay in situ and take its chance (but has survived and is flowering again). We did manange to get a few pieces of rhizome out in case it didn't make it and I was allowed to have a piece. Good Garden Centres should also sell this in the Water Garden section

i just got one andrew so mine just leaves now, but quite big, will you move yours,, is it in pot? says can grow 3m by 2m, sounds very big,,is that right?

Yes. I've just divided mine after three years in a planting basket

Hi Andrew, as its 12 months since you posted this picture, was wondering if its flowering yet this year and if its spreading. I've had to move mine that I set last year due to pond maintenance and I was surprised at the size of the rhizome it has developed.

Hi Sandra, that's good news, I've spotted a couple of clusters of flower buds too. If these plants do what they should, in time they should be amazing.

glad yours is showing to dawn, i may have to make more room for mine, dont want to move it because the soil is damp where it is , so will move other plants instead ;o)

the pond is great thanx dawn, just needs the wiring hiding and going into the garage, but just plugging it in each day to keep water clear, plants settling in ok , will look great next year when all established, im pleased dawn ;o)) hope all is well with you and your garden to x

Dawnsaunt - I think mine is shooting but not in flower yet. I'm not sure because my pond had to be emptied and relined last autumn and the baskets got mixed up so I'm not sure which one it's in!

Hi Andrew, I've been checking mine regularly and couldnt see any flowers but then when I moved it, the flower heads could be seen below the surface, no doubt your's will be up soon. We've been doing pond maintenance too and my plants are temporarily on the veg plot, all mixed up.
