I have taken some cuttings from other plants but never thought about this one, the bud you can see has opened up now and is mainly white with a fleck of pink, is it usual for Dianthus to have different colour flowers? I assumed they'd all be the same, not that I'm complaining :)

Now is the time to take cuttings from this plant, then keep in pots over the winter on a window ledge or in a protective place then plant out in the spring.
