Love foxgloves one of my favourites. :-)

Old faithfuls and this one has especially deep colour. Great for bees. The sound bees make reversing out of the bells is quite distinct. Have you noticed that?

Long-tongued bumble bees...that's why they're only annuals here... None of the right kind of bees!!

Thanks all for your lovely comments :)))) I do like the willow next to it here too - not in the best place though so not clever planting as they like moist in a well drained garden but still survives well enough :)))
hi Ojibway - said on an interesting programme that bees change key going into flowers it sets all the pollen out or something
30 May, 2012
I hadn't noticed the change of key, either, Ojibway. Do they bleep, like lorries reversing?
30 May, 2012
haha Gattina :D
30 May, 2012
Don't talk to me about lorries reversing, Gattina...
...she heard it only once...but it's now my parrot's favourite noise...!!! :(
30 May, 2012

Karen - I would love you to hear the scrap metal van that pollutes our ear holes - it is incredibly annoying !!!

She used to talk and "sing"...now she's a lorry reversing...(not to mention the new donkey across the road)...
I used to love that bird...let's hope it's just a "phase"...
31 May, 2012
hopefully she will forget it

Maybe a telephone ringtone? There's some darned bird round here - a starling? - that's perfected that one; it's a real nuisance.
1 Jun, 2012
LOL! She's already got that one, Gattina...when I'm out in the garden, I have to count the number of "rings", before the voice says, "bleep! Hello!". She hasn't realised that the real phone rings four times. Of course, usually it's too late by then and I've missed the call!!
