what position are yours in. Mine are in part shade and don't appear to be spreading.

I know they're supposed to like shade, but I planted these in a sunny postion, and they're enjoying it! The white ones are in shade, though.

The white ones remind me of gannets diving for fish, lol. These ones have been at the cochineal bottle.
