WOuld this grow in a pot and does it withstand very cold weather. It looks very nice.

Erythroniums will grow in a pot and are fully hardy. They generally do better in the garden and I would suggest that the pot is plunged in a sandbed or in the ground in winter to try and stop the bulbs being frozen solid.
