Eucomis "Sparkling Burgundy"

Is this in the ground?have been trying to grow this flipping plant for over two years, can not get a flower spike, just lots of leaves,whats your secret?

It is in the ground DD. I lift it in the autumn.
I cannot get Oakhurst to bloom for love nor money though.

I have tried it in the ground and now it is back in a pot, just lovely dark leaves...

I love the colour its gorgeous ...

Twill probably get flattened tomorrow though if that weather comes in Amy............

I hope not ! its bound to be a bad week our daughter always goes abroad for her holidays to be sure of good weather this year they decided to holiday in Wales they went on Friday , I have never know her have a good week in this country they always have bad weather one year they were in a cinema in the evening with the children when the river broke its banks everyone had to be ferried to a hotel without even a toothbrush ... we always said we would never book a holiday the same week as her .......

You obviously had worse weather than us, we need the rain and all we get is the odd heavy shower which lasts ten minutes then the hot sun comes out and we are back to where we started....

It's freezing here - 18 to 20°c at best. Got the woodburner going tonight.

No!! are you having me on? still hot here, have moved a lot of plants so we are praying for rain to settle them in....

Cold (and windy) again tonight. And dry still.

We were promised rain again, but no such luck yet five minutes down the road and it is pouring!! mad!!
