This is a Red-banded Hairstreak nectaring on Boneset. This butterfly rarely flies farther north of Ohio and is fairly uncommon in Ohio. Host plants include Dwarf Sumac (Rhus copallina) Croton and possibly Waxmyrtle (Myrica). It's a rather small butterfly but very beautiful.
