Oh thats a shame carol, they don't like to be planted to deeply just level with were roots join leaves, that can prevent flowering, or if the clump gets to big ,and the odd one or two can sulk for a year after division, like a sunny spot but will stand a bit of shade I give mine a spring feed of seaweed food too, can't think of any other reasons sorry.
