hydrangea quadricolour pretty autumn colours.

hydrangea quadricolour pretty autumn colours. (hydrangea quadricolour)

This poor plant deserves a better owner, I love it and think it should really be given its freedom to roam majestically through the garden.....just have to find the right spot to release it :-)

Yes Drc I suppose I could, I wonder if anyone has experience of quadricolour. I may put a question up, I wouldn't mind taking cuttings if I knew how so I could always have one in a container:-)

Looks a very interesting one like the different coloured foilage, should imagine its easy to take cuttings like all Hydrangers, just cut below the leaf node and remove the bottom leaves and pop it in a pot, I to six this year to be on the safe side they have all rooted so wil have some plants for next year!

thanks I'll give it a go Pp do I put anything over the cutting to keep in moisture or anything?

I tried in water and straight into compost, the ones in compost all took, didnt cover them just left them in the pots, it took about three weeks, suspose you would need to protect them if there is frost before they root., let me know how you get on!
