Thanks Clarice, I have about 36 varieties now..havent caught up with Simbad and her daylilies yet tho... There are about a dozen I would really love but they are USA or Aussie ones..cost a fortune to send for them so guess will have to wait til someone imports them..

Lol,I'm drying out Tetrarch, haven't bought one for over 3 weeks, getting quite shaky, lol.
The same as daylilies then far too expensive to import from USA, unless you have a few people to club together with, am I right in thinking it costs the same for phytosanitary checks no matter how much you order?
Is there a society for iris collectors too Tetrarch?, kids are getting me membership to British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society for christmas, don't know if thats a good idea, lol.

I would guess thats a VERY dangerous Xmas present Simbad, like presenting an alcoholic with a distillery!! You will have to join the HA AHA society! (Hemerocallis Anon..Aha! or should that be ha ha ha!
Yes the Phyto.checks are $25 and the postage $58 but thats for 16 irises..and it looks like the discounts offered on site dont apply to abroad either. So for approx $290 I could have 16 wonderful new varieties..thats um..hang on..About £180 which is £11.25 per plant approx. Which is not too bad actually..but of course the less you buy, apart from carriage altering a little, the more each plant will cost.
Maybe if someone in the family comes up on lotto..might persuade them to buy me a nice pressie...
Right, after all that brainwork I will go and dream of irises..
Oh yes, the British Iris Society..
