Splitting at the seams

Janey

By Janey

Splitting at the seams (Iris foetidissima (Stinking Iris))

The berries of Iris foetidissima are great for Autumn colour, also the evergreen strap-like leaves make it well worth growing, if not the strange brown coloured flower in the spring.

Oh yes, nice. My yellow pond iris seeds are plain, boring brown, yours are stunning.

Thanks for this photo Janey,
We have a lot of different pines here, but evergreens... I miss it..
the little drops at the tips of the evergreen reminds me the defrosting after snow :)
thanks again

Hey nice red fruits... are them edible?

Thanks Paul, if you would like some seeds, pm me and I'll send you some through.

They are bright aren't they Dawn, makes up for the ugly flower!

It is Dd, especially for winter interest.

Thanks Aleyna, pleased you liked it, mmm...don't think I would try these, haven't seen the birds after them either so should have them quite a while yet....:o)
